OUR PAST
Twenty years ago our founder realized the critical need to start DEIB work earlier in people’s lives. She developed TEENdiversophy™ The Game specifically to help students learn the skills of living and thriving together in diverse schools and communities.
“DIVERSOPHY” is a word conceived by Dr. George F. Simons, blending two words: “diverse,” which means variation or differences, and “sophia,” the ancient Greek word for wisdom.
The definition of DIVERSOPHY™ and TEENdiversophy™ is therefore:
“Learning wisdom about differences.”
Game cards for the Gen 1 of TEENdiversophy™ The Game were written and field tested by students at Gunn High School in Palo Alto, CA. The Game became a popular learning tool for educators across the USA.
